Oh, the places you will go! I vividly remember being a senior in high school on the edge of change. The feeling of excitement for the new and a hint of hesitation for the unknown. The adults in my life from church, school, and family were so fascinated with my future. The questions were sometimes overwhelming but witnessing their sincere and genuine motives was refreshing for a young adult. I remember listening to a speaker around my senior year expressing to my generation, the physical power of our lives in our capable hands. We have only time and experience ahead of us plus if we are willing to listen; gentle guidance from others ahead of us. The ability to evolve within ourselves from the knowledge/experience of others. The best of both worlds to help weigh your decisions. I personally have my best friend, my sister that continues to listen to my thoughts, dreams, insecurities, and fears while offering her experiences in helping me make my final movement forward in my life. Let’s dig into why it is important to take this time to capture who you are at this moment!
Why is it important to capture you before you go off to college or move out into the world to start your next adventure? Like any milestone in life, the moments and images in that specific moment are fleeting. Graduating high school is a monumental moment! By booking a photographer, you are able to allow that photographer to connect and capture who you are at this specific time! With my design of offering a one-on-one zoom call or in-person consultation, I am able to authentically get to know you in order to plan a successful photo session that fits your style and personality.
Sometimes senior pictures can be an uneasy topic to address because the parent vs. senior vision clashes. That is okay. My ultimate goal is to always connect with YOU. I want to see your innate personality during our scheduled consultation call to talk about your passions, goals, dreams, likes/dislikes etc.. I will work hard to gather all requests from parents and seniors. We can work out a successful photo session that makes everyone happy. I promise it will be fun, relaxing, and special for all.
During our scheduled zoom or in person consultation call we will discuss the following:
1 - Location! Do you have a favorite spot in Tallahassee, Thomasville, or the surrounding area or do you like to hike and want to get images at a specific park for example? These are the types of questions and thoughts that will help us pick the perfect location(s) that fit You. I will have suggestions that we can discuss during our consultation.
2- Your outfits/accessories - we will discuss your thoughts on outfits and hobbies that we can incorporate into our senior sessions. I suggest having two to three outfits so that we can give you different looks and feelings in your senior images. These outfits can be casual, or dressy, incorporating hobbies like sports, instruments etc.. 3 -Communication is extremely important to me. Making sure all my clients know what to expect from me is important. I will share with you the steps before, during, and after our sessions. It is during our zoom we will discuss any specific photo shots request.. For more information check out my client corner link - Marlo Moody Photography - Client Corner In a nutshell we will have a booking process: contract/questionnaire, deposit, book consultation date/time, confirm location/time, confirm outfits, day of the photo session, roughly two weeks for editing, email with a link to photo gallery, follow-up with any questions regarding digital files and print options.
4 - Day of Senior Photo Session - it is essential to show up on time or a few minutes before to make sure we have time to get acclimated. I understand during my senior photo sessions we will have “changing time” and possible transition time for locations. My ultimate goal is to capture as many images as I can of who you are! In total, I typically am actively shooting for about 45 minutes to an hour long.
6 - Most importantly and my favorite part truly getting to know you. Your passion, goals, next life steps, your favorite movie, favorite hobby etc…
