Family Moving Together

Tallahassee Florida Photographer - When Marlo’s Camera is Off

Movement - Family Pictures

As the temperature is dropping on this chilly raining Tuesday and I’m waiting for a family photo session to upload so that I can send out their precious gallery today; my heart is full of gratitude for what I get to do with my camera! This particular family was the ideal family for me as a photographer. They arrived ready to have fun! As I strive with every family photo session, I incorporate movement within my sessions for the kids and the opportunity to interact with each other. Movement. Our lives are all summed up by action. We move to get out of bed, we move to take a shower, we move to prepare breakfast for our families, and we move toward each other to hug or help tie a shoe; our bodies are made to be active. While editing this stunning family's images, I realized that my pictures are frozen movements of the family. My artistic passion is to capture my family interacting together and individually too. Some of my favorite pictures are the daughter touching her mom’s hair, how the dad tickles his daughter, and the simplest whisper between husband and wife saying “I love you”! The way a family moves together I believe is the most breathtaking thing to witness. Movement with our sacred people in our lives is tangible and active love! I absolutely love capturing photos with my camera!

I pray over and desperately want my amazing families to show up ready to feel safe, comfortable, and open so they are allowed to interact with their loved ones just as you would be snuggled on the couch or talking in the kitchen while cooking together. Come ready to be YOU and I will be ready to show you just how gorgeous your family's movement is from my view!

Marlo Moody

Welcome to the Marlo Moody Photography! I hope you find inspiration while feeling the authentic compassion and connection in my portfolio. My deep passion for photography began after my son was born about 9 years ago. I dusted off my canon camera that my husband purchased for us on our 1 year wedding anniversary. Desperately wanting to freeze the seconds with the kids, during our slow days at home, I began to realize just how much taking pictures and learning to edit them provided a positive outlet for me. Over the years, I’ve taken amazing classes locally and online. In 2019, I decided to take the leap of faith and officially launch my photography business. No matter how slow the process, I am loving every challenging moment. I have found my niche of family, children, and other life milestones, along with my lifestyle photography approach to capturing my clients pictures. A beautiful blend of documentary and portrait photography. I would love the opportunity to take your photos just as you are and show you how beautiful you look from my view.
